Values
Values
The original charity deeds were founded on Christian principles. This ethos is still important to the trustees of the PLR Trust and we are motivated by this in our decision making processes.
Relationship building - Connect - People orientated
As trustees we value people orientated community and relationship building. We are keen to fund projects that understand the needs of a community group, connect people and encourage inclusion. We are committed to build a rapport with the people we support, wanting to engage in the progress/process of their projects.
Making a difference - Sustainable change - Big and Small
We believe in long term impact. We wish to support ideas that not only make a difference in people’s lives but will be able to run without our financial aid in the future. These projects could at national, regional or local levels. Furthermore we value ideas that will make a difference not just for the official beneficiaries, but also for the long term staff team and running of the project.
Fun - Creative - Imaginative - Interesting
We love creativity and innovation. We need to be interested in the project and can be drawn in by new and imaginative ideas. As trustees we enjoy working alongside fun and authentic projects.
Trust - Integrity - Honesty - Accountability
We value high levels of honesty in order to build our trust in different projects. We support organisations that provide accountability for funding received and demonstrate how this is positively impacting the project as a whole. We understand that the idea and then reality of a project may not coincide, but value integrity about progression over end results.
